What To Know About Your Tour
Your Guides
Hello from Beth & Carolyn! We are lifelong North Carolina residents plus hopelessly obsessed Outlander fans. We are honored to be your guides as we explore the vast area of Jamie and Claire's North Carolina. We are excited to share the rich history as well as the Outlander connection of our home state with YOU! Travel through the stones to 18th & 19th century North Carolina. Transportation
We will be touring the area "caravan" style on the Claire's Journey To Yesteryear Tour and the Fraser's Coolest Corner Encounter Tour. Follow us in the comfort of your own vehicle or ride along with someone else as we visit The Ridge. Narration provided along the way via walkie talkies, but we welcome your comments along the way too! For the Jamie's Port City Adventure Tour, all sights and activities are located within a few blocks from each other. No car is necessary unless you would like to drive yourself from one location to another. * Please note that parking in downtown Wilmington is extremely limited. What To Bring
> Please wear comfortable clothing and appropriate walking shoes. > A folding chair or camp chair. (for the Fraser's Coolest Corner Encounter and Claire's Journey to Yesteryear Tours) > Rain gear. This is a rain or shine tour. > Bug spray and sunscreen. > In the event you would like to make incidental purchases throughout the day or additional alcoholic beverages, please bring a method of payment. > Camera or cellphone for photo taking. > FULL tank of gas (for the Fraser's Coolest Corner Encounter and Claire's Journey to Yesteryear Tours). > Your smiles, good nature and adventurous spirit!
What Not To Bring
> NO children under 13 years of age. > The ringer on your cellphone (please silence cellphones when with the group). Besides, cell phone service is unavailable in many areas on the Ridge. > NO Tips of any kind!
Accommodations
Accommodations are NOT included in the ticket price; however, we have offered our suggestions for accommodations for each day of the tour below. Find your perfect stay by clicking on the "Accommodations" title above or select "Help Me Find Accommodations" when booking your tour.
Safety Precautions
We want YOU to stay healthy & well! Masks are NOT required unless required by the sites that we visit; HOWEVER, If you feel more comfortable wearing a mask on our tours, please do so.
What's Included In Your Tour
Admissions
Admissions to attractions. When booking, please note opt-in attractions and/or activities.
Souvenir Gift
Each person will receive a souvenir gift to take home to remember your time with NC Sassenach Tours!
Discounted Ticket
$10.00 off your ticket price if you book by April 19, 2023!
Beer, Wine, Cider or Mead
One of these beverages is included in each tour along with a souvenir glass or bottles of mead for you to take home as a remembrance of our time together.
Delicious Lunch & Dinner
Depending on the tour you select, lunch and/or a sit-down dinner. Non-alcoholic beverages are also included.
Amazing Photo Ops & History Galore!
Our stops along the way will provide you with some amazing photo opportunities plus some history to boot!
Payments & Refunds
Payment of a non-refundable deposit in the amount of $125 and a non-refundable booking fee in the amount of $25 are required to book a tour. Balance is due ten (10) days prior to each tour date. We MUST have at least 10 people to sign up for the Fraser's Coolest Corner Encounter and Claire's Journey to Yesteryear tours in order to proceed. We MUST have at least 15 people to sign up for the Jamie's Port City Adventure. If the minimum number of people have not signed up ten days prior to the tour date, the tour will be canceled and ALL monies paid refunded (less the non-refundable booking fee) OR you may transfer to another tour date.
